Lots of naysayers out there, and I appreciate the concern. I have increased my protein and I am being monitored daily with B/P and Blood Glucose checks by nurses. Will I lose lean muscle? Probably a small amount. Will I die? most likely not. Will my metabolism stop working? I doubt it. Will I gain the weight back plus more? If I were to eat more calories than my body burns (like most do after they get done with crash or regular diets) yes.
